Dr. Jimmy J. Godard

From peak-time teller to C-Suite executive. Then he started teaching.

Dr. Jimmy J. Godard has spent more than twenty-five years inspiring teams and helping organizations navigate disruption, beginning as a peak-time bank teller and rising to a C-suite executive. That trajectory is the reason his sessions land with both front-line project managers and the executives who fund them: he has held both roles.
He holds a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Information Systems and Technology, an MBA, and the CB-PMO and PMP credentials. He is a C-Suite executive and teaches project management, leadership, and business at Portland State University, George Fox University, and the American College of Healthcare Sciences, and serves as Director of Programs for the Society for Information Management.
Each year he leads medical and service projects in Cambodia, Haiti, Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia. He is a Certified Career Coach, and every coaching engagement and certification cohort begins with the same question he asks of himself: Why do you lead?

Dr. Jimmy Godard: Servant Leadership in Action

For Dr. Jimmy Godard, leadership is a responsibility, not a rank. His philosophy isn’t confined to the walls of a corporate boardroom; it is actively lived and proven on the dirt roads, in remote villages, and at community clinics across Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Cambodia, Haiti.
Through annual global service and medical projects, Dr. Godard demonstrates that true servant leadership requires deep personal investment and physical presence. His worldwide impact reflects a steadfast commitment to elevating human potential through three core pillars:
Direct Engagement: Whether delivering vital resources to Dire Dawa or supporting patient dignity in Ethiopian clinics, Dr. Godard leads by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the community. He shows up, he listens, and he serves.
Empowering the Future: In rural Kenya and beyond, his service takes the form of educational outreach. By connecting directly with students, he bridges worlds and invests heavily in the leaders of tomorrow.

A Consistent Global Mission: From supporting community initiatives in Haiti and working along the Equator in Kenya, to serving at a Ugandan outpost, his core principles remain unwavering. The landscapes may change, but the respect, partnership, and compassion endure.

The same framework travels into the classroom. Through Train-the-Trainer cohorts delivered in partnership with PMO Global Institute, Dr. Godard has certified practitioners across twelve further countries and four continents: Turkey, the United Kingdom, Poland, Germany, Italy, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Cameroon, South Africa, Jamaica, and the United States. Train-the-Trainer candidates qualify to deliver the credential themselves, which means the governance and leadership standard he teaches is now being taught by others, in their own markets and their own languages.

Seventeen countries, two very different kinds of work, one operating principle. For Dr. Godard, these transformative journeys are far more than just outreach.
