How Global Compass, LLC collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Who we are

Global Compass, LLC (“Global Compass”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a limited liability company registered in the State of Oregon, United States. We provide PMO certification training, executive coaching, keynote speaking, and workshop services.
We are the data controller for personal information collected through globalcompasshub.com.

Global Compass, LLC is an Authorized Business Partner of PMO Global Institute Inc for the CB-PMO, CA-PMO, and Agile PMO . We are not a membership association and we do not operate a member directory, a job board, or a member login portal.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors to our website and to clients who purchase our services. Our training, coaching, and speaking services are offered to buyers in the United States. Where an international engagement is delivered for PMO Certifications, it is arranged through PMO Global Institute rather than purchased directly from us.
Our website is publicly accessible, and we recognise that visitors outside the United States may use it. Section 12 explains how we handle that.

PMO Readiness Assessment

First name, email address, organisation name, your stated role, your organisation type, your answers to the twenty assessment questions, your score for each of the five dimensions, your total score and maturity level, and the date and time you submitted.

Inquiry and contact forms

Name, email address, organisation, inquiry category, and the content of your message.

Cohort waitlists

Name, email address, organisation, and the certification track you are interested in.

Speaking inquiries

Name, email address, organisation, event date, audience size, and format.

Purchases and engagements

Billing name, billing address, and the details necessary to issue an invoice and deliver the service. For certification, the information required to register you for an examination.
We do not store payment card details. Card data is collected and processed directly by our payment provider and never reaches our systems.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site we collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and how long you spend on them. This is collected through analytics cookies and is described in section 8.

4. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Aggregated and anonymised research

This policy applies to visitors to our website and to clients who purchase our services. Our training, coaching, and speaking services are offered to buyers in the United States. Where an international engagement is delivered for PMO Certifications, it is arranged through PMO Global Institute rather than purchased directly from us.
Aggregated research contains no names, no email addresses, no organisation names, and no information from which any individual or organisation could reasonably be identified. We do not publish any figure derived from fewer than five responses.
This use is optional and separate from receiving your report. You can complete the assessment and receive your report without agreeing to it, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect research already published.

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes described in this policy:

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, to establish or defend a legal claim, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business. Where a business transfer occurs, we will notify you.

7. Marketing and your choices

We send marketing email only to people who have asked to receive it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You can also email us to be removed.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages relating to a purchase, a cohort you are enrolled in, or an engagement in progress.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use two categories of cookie:

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

9. Your rights

Wherever you are located, we will honour the following requests as a matter of policy:
  • Access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — to fix anything inaccurate
  • Deletion — to remove your information, where we have no legal obligation to retain it
  • Portability — a copy in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdrawal of consent — including for marketing and for the aggregated research described in section 5
  • Objection or restriction — to how we process your information

Residents of California and other states with comparable laws have additional rights, including the right to know what information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission over HTTPS and access controls on the systems that store it. Payment card data is handled entirely by our payment provider under their own security standards.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you transmit information to us at your own risk.
We will never ask for your password in an unsolicited email or phone call.

11. Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States and our services are offered to buyers in the United States. Personal information you provide is processed and stored in the United States, where data protection law may differ from the law where you live.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another region with data transfer restrictions and you choose to use this website, you are transferring your information to the United States. We will honour the rights listed in section 10 regardless of where you live.

12. Children

Our services are intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will contact you and, where required, ask for fresh consent.
