1. Scope and acceptance
These terms apply to every purchase from Global Compass, LLC, including:
Open certification cohorts — CA-PMO®, CB-PMO®, and Agile PMO
Private and agency training programs
Executive coaching engagements
Keynote speaking and workshop bookings
Standalone certification examination vouchers
By placing an order, signing a proposal, or paying an invoice, you accept these terms together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Where a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement takes precedence.
2. Where we sell
Our services are offered to buyers in the United States. International delivery is arranged through PMO Global Institute Inc. rather than purchased directly from us. If you are outside the United States and wish to attend a program, contact us and we will direct you to the appropriate route.
Global Compass, LLC does not offer paid services to the State of Oregon executive-branch agencies.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are in United States dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax, duty, or bank charge. Published prices are current at the time of purchase and may change without notice. A price stated in a written proposal or invoice is held for [30] days.
Purchase type
Payment terms
Open cohort seat
Payable in full to confirm. A seat is not reserved until payment clears.
Examination voucher
Payable in full to confirm. A seat is not reserved until payment clears.
Private or agency program
[50]% deposit on signature, balance due [14] days before the first session.

[50]% deposit to hold the date, balance due [14] days before the event.
Executive coaching
Monthly in advance, or in full at a [X]% discount. Six-month minimum term.
Invoices unpaid after [30] days may incur interest at [1.5]% per month, or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is lower. We may suspend delivery on overdue accounts.
4. Certification examinations
An important distinction
The CB-PMO®, CA-PMO®, and Agile PMO credentials are awarded by PMO Global Institute Inc., not by Global Compass. We are an Authorized Business Partner delivering training and examination preparation.
Examination eligibility, content, scheduling, scoring, results, credential issuance, renewal, and any appeal are governed by PMO Global Institute’s own terms and are outside our control.
Examination voucher refunds. Vouchers may be cancelled for a full refund within [72] hours of purchase, provided the examination has not been scheduled or attempted. After that point vouchers are non-refundable. If PMO Global Institute cancels a voucher, a full refund is issued.
We cannot guarantee a passing result on any examination.
5. Open cohort cancellation and transfer
Notice before start date
Outcome
30 days or more
Full refund, less a 10% administration fee. Or transfer to a later cohort at no charge.
15 to 29 days
50% refund, or a full-value transfer to a later cohort.
14 days or fewer
No refund. One transfer to a later cohort at our discretion.
After the cohort has begun
No refund and no transfer.
Tiers are calculated from the date we receive written notice at programs@globalcompasshub.com. Each tier applies to the whole of its stated window; where two could apply, the more generous applies.
Substitutions. You may substitute another participant at no charge up to [7] days before the start date, provided they meet any prerequisites.
Cancellation by us. We may postpone or cancel a cohort for insufficient enrolment, instructor illness, or an event described in section 15. If we do, you may transfer to the next available cohort or receive a full refund. Our liability is limited to the fees you have paid.
6. Private and agency programs
Notice before first session
Fee payable
60 days or more
Deposit retained; balance released.
30 to 59 days
[50]% of the contracted fee.
Fewer than 30 days
[100]% of the contracted fee.
One postponement is permitted at no charge with [30] days’ notice, provided a replacement date within [6] months is agreed at the time. Non-refundable travel and accommodation already incurred remain payable in all cases.
7. Speaking and workshop bookings
The same notice tiers as section 6 apply, calculated from the event date.
A date is not held until the deposit clears. We may accept a competing enquiry for an unconfirmed date without notice. Where an in-person event cannot proceed for reasons outside either party’s control, we will offer a virtual delivery or a rescheduled date before any refund obligation arises.
Recording. Recording of a session requires prior written consent. Where consent is given, we retain the right to use excerpts for our own promotional purposes unless agreed otherwise in writing.
8. Executive coaching
Six-month minimum commitment
Sessions cancelled with fewer than [24] hours’ notice are treated as delivered
Unused sessions do not carry beyond the engagement term
Either party may terminate for material breach on [30] days’ written notice
Termination for convenience before the six-month minimum does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid
Coaching is a professional development service. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice.
9. Travel and expenses
For engagements outside the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area, travel, accommodation, ground transport, and related expenses are additional to the fee. They are either billed at cost with receipts, or booked and paid directly by you. An estimate is provided before booking. Expenses already incurred at the point of cancellation remain payable.
10. Duplicate and failed payments
Duplicate payments are refunded to the original payment method within [5 to 7] business days of you notifying us. All other approved refunds are processed within [30] days of the request, to the original payment method.
Where a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access to the program until the balance is settled.
11. Intellectual property
All course materials, frameworks, assessment instruments, templates, toolkits, slide decks, and recordings remain the intellectual property of Global Compass, LLC or its licensors, including PMO Global Institute Inc. where applicable.
You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them for your own professional purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, resell, or use them to deliver training to others without our prior written permission.
Nothing in a purchase grants any right to use the Global Compass® name or logo, or the marks of PMO Global Institute Inc.
12. Confidentiality
Information disclosed during a coaching engagement, a private programm, or a governance review is treated as confidential by both parties and used only to deliver the engagement. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.
We may reference the fact of an engagement in general terms. We will not identify you by name or organisation in any public material without your written permission.
13. No guarantee of outcome
Our services provide training, guidance, and professional advice. We do not guarantee any specific business result, examination outcome, certification, promotion, revenue, or return on investment. Results depend on factors outside our control, including your own implementation.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or connected to any engagement is limited to the fees actually paid to us for that engagement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised such loss was possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disaster, epidemic, war, civil unrest, government action, labour dispute, utility or network failure, or travel disruption.
Where such an event prevents an in-person engagement, we will offer a virtual alternative or a rescheduled date. A refund obligation arises only if neither can be agreed within [90] days.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. [DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND VENUE CLAUSE — ATTORNEY TO COMPLETE. SPECIFY WHETHER DISPUTES GO TO ARBITRATION OR TO THE COURTS OF A NAMED COUNTY.]
Where you buy as a consumer, you may have additional rights under local law that cannot be waived. Nothing here affects those rights.
17. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Changes are posted here with a revised date.
